Marrakech Fast-Food Brawl: Security Guard Injured as Police Arrest Moroccan Expatriates

A security guard was injured in the face while attempting to put an end to a violent altercation involving Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) in a fast-food establishment located on Mohammed V Avenue in Marrakech.
According to local sources, a brawl broke out between a group of young girls inside the restaurant, which required the intervention of the Anti-Crime Brigade elements from the Marrakech police prefecture to bring the situation under control. Subsequently, Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) attempted to intervene, injuring a security guard of the establishment.
The police managed to restore order, arresting three MREs. The suspects were taken to the police station headquarters, where the report of the incident was drawn up. They were then referred to the prefectural judicial police department, in charge of the investigation opened to elucidate this case, pending their appearance before the competent public prosecutor’s office, which will decide their fate.
