Algerian Singer Reda Taliani Detained in Marrakech After Alleged Drunken Brawl

Algerian artist Reda Taliani was reportedly arrested by security services in Marrakech. The arrest took place in the Saâda neighborhood, in the Guéliz district.
According to information gathered by Rue20, this arrest follows a dispute on a public road involving the singer and two other individuals. It is reported that this altercation then escalated into physical assault and battery between the persons involved. Sources indicate a "state of obvious intoxication" of the parties at the time of the incident.
Following this incident, Reda Taliani and the two other individuals were apprehended by officers from the Marrakech police prefecture. They were placed in custody.
A judicial investigation has been opened and is being conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office. The objective is to "determine all the circumstances and the ins and outs of this case," in order to precisely establish the sequence of events and responsibilities.
