Tangier Mayor Slams Media for Spreading Fear with COVID-19 Coffin Images

Several online media have widely relayed on social networks images of coffins acquired by the municipality of the city for the benefit of victims of Covid-19, causing fear among the population. Informed, the mayor of the city is outraged.
Intervening during the extraordinary session of the city council, Mayor Mohammed Bachir Abdellaoui did not mince his words. He strongly criticized the journalists and some online media.
According to the mayor, these news sites had published images of coffins claiming they were intended for victims of the new coronavirus, reports alyaoum24.com.
According to the mayor, the efforts made by the city council in the fight against the pandemic should not be minimized.
While citing these actions, he announced the disinfection campaigns of the streets and public spaces as well as the transportation of the deceased in the vehicles of the municipality.
