Tangier Considers Land Expropriations to Advance Delayed $90 Million Landfill Project

Faced with the delay in the realization of the new landfill project in Tangier, the municipality wants to resort to expropriations in order to launch the project on time.
A meeting organized in the presence of some municipal officials, the mayor and an architect and specialists in the field made it possible to reflect on the issue and to draw up a file to be submitted to the municipal council, recalls Al Akhbar.
To save this project, developed since 2017 and which has already swallowed up nearly 900 million DH, the municipal authorities will have to justify the management of these funds to the opposition group during the next municipal council debates.
This is a project presented to the king and which is part of the infrastructure of the "Greater Tangier". If the population despairs of seeing this project come to fruition, the associative networks do not fail to denounce it.
