Tangier Bank Manager Arrested in Midnight Treasure Hunt Scheme

The national security agents of Beni Makada in Tangier arrested in flagrante delicto on Sunday, February 27, 2022, three individuals, including the manager of a bank branch. They would be involved in a treasure hunt in one of the neighborhoods of the city.
The arrest of the three suspects took place in Houmt El Oued, in the 10th district of the city around 3 a.m. on Sunday, reports Tanja24. While they were digging the ground with a bulldozer in search of a hypothetical treasure, the individuals involved, including the manager of a bank branch, were surprised by representatives of the local authorities. Three of them were thus arrested by the national security agents of Beni Makada. The others managed to flee by car in an unknown direction.
At the scene, the police proceeded to seize excavation machines, a city car, topographic maps as well as old books and manuscripts. An investigation is underway to shed light on this case.
