Tangier Police Officer Arrested for Alleged Theft and Evidence Tampering

An investigation has been opened by the prefectural judicial police service of Tangier to determine the "criminal acts and excesses attributed to a sergeant on duty" in Beni Makada.
Suspected of receiving and misappropriating objects from a crime, the police officer was taken into custody as part of the investigation, informs the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), according to which the person concerned would have given to another person, also taken into custody, a "mobile phone with a view to making a call to a lady asking her to misappropriate suspicious or criminal objects".
The DGSN does not report any administrative sanction against the police officer during the investigation.
