Moroccan Police Officers Arrested in Inezgane Fraud Investigation

In Inezgane, three individuals, including two police officers, were referred to the public prosecutor’s office for their alleged involvement in a case of fraud, disclosure of professional secrecy and complicity.
The arrest of the main suspect follows his involvement in a case of fraud under the pretext of mediation in favor of a person placed in custody against a sum of money, says a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The preliminary investigation led to the subsequent arrest of a police sergeant, suspected of disclosing professional secrecy and complicity in these criminal acts, the note adds, stating that another police officer, working in the premises where the persons placed in custody were detained, was subjected to judicial investigation procedures while at liberty.
The two individuals were placed in custody at the disposal of the judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, concludes the DGSN.
