Moroccan Police Officer and Nurse Arrested in 338 kg Cannabis Bust

Five individuals suspected of being involved in a case of drug trafficking, attack on automated data processing systems and falsification of vaccination passes were arrested, between January 3 and 5, in Rabat, by the national brigade of the judicial police (BNPJ).
According to the press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), their arrest follows a joint operation between the BNPJ and the DGST, which initially led to the arrest of two suspects: a police officer serving in the Mehdia security district and a nurse.
These individuals were caught in the act of transporting 338 kg of cannabis on board a light vehicle in Timahdite, the note adds, stating that three accomplices were identified following the investigations.
These are the owner of the vehicle and a police officer from the Karia Ba Mohamed police station, as well as a senior nurse practicing in the Taounate area, also arrested for their alleged involvement in this case.
The initial elements of the investigation revealed that among the arrested individuals are people involved in the attack on automated data processing systems in order to falsify the data of people vaccinated against Covid-19 and the issuance of false vaccination passes, the same source points out.
The accused were placed in custody pending the continuation of the investigation conducted by the BNPJ, to identify all the people involved in this case, concludes the DGSN.
