Moroccan Police Officer Arrested in Khémisset for Stolen Rental Car Scheme

A member of the urban corps of Khémisset, a police officer suspected of being involved in a case of breach of trust, is the subject of an investigation opened under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office.
The suspicions are linked to a complaint filed by the manager of a company in Nador against a client who took possession of a rental car, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The initial elements of the investigation made it possible to locate and seize the car that was the subject of the complaint in Khémisset, bearing false license plates, with a police officer from the urban corps in Khémisset on board.
The sergeant was arrested and placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the contours of this case and identify all the criminal acts attributed to him, according to the same source.
