Interpol-Wanted American Arrested in Morocco for Child Assault

An American national wanted by his country’s police in a case of assault on a minor has been arrested in Morocco, announced the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The 52-year-old suspect was apprehended as part of "cooperation between Moroccan security services and their American counterparts, as well as in the context of the ongoing efforts made by the national security services and territorial surveillance," explains the DGSN.
The man is suspected of having assaulted a minor in his country before fleeing to Morocco, specifically to Tangier.
Placed in custody as part of the investigation, he will be extradited to his country as soon as the justice system has ruled on his case.
