Moroccan Far-Left Leader Arrested in Tangier for Alleged Check Fraud

Accused of issuing bad checks, Abdellah El Harif, a member of the far-left party Annahj Addimocrati (the Democratic Way), was arrested this Sunday, March 6, 2022 in a hotel in Tangier.
The Tangier police elements arrested, this Sunday in a hotel in the city, Abdellah El Harif, member of the national office of the Annahj Addimocrati party, against whom the Casablanca police prefecture had issued a warrant for "issuing bad checks" for an amount of 70,000 DH, reports Tanja24.
According to sources close to the case, the arrest of this political leader follows a routine identity check of the hotel’s customers. Abdellah El Harif arrived at the hotel on Saturday.
Pending the arrival of the Casablanca police services, who will have to take over for the judicial follow-up of this case, the accused was placed in police custody.
