Tangier Authorities Shut Down Popular Beach Pool After Illegal Activity Raid

In Tangier, residents and vacationers will no longer be able to enjoy a recreational pool on the Ba Kacem beach. It has been closed by the city authorities.
On Tuesday, the authorities of Tangier proceeded to the definitive closure of a pool on the Ba Kacem beach, following the decision of the president of the Tangier City district to withdraw the license. This is motivated by an infringement.
Last week, 220 hookahs (shishas) and more than 5 kilograms of contraband hookah tobacco were seized by police elements during a raid on a restaurant and a pool on the Achakar beach in Tangier. They also seized a number of high-value alcoholic beverages and spoiled food harmful to health. These foods and drinks were destroyed by the health security services.
