4-Year-Old Girl Drowns in Tragic Pool Accident Near Marrakech

A 4-year-old girl died by drowning last weekend in Marrakech, after accidentally falling into the pool of a villa located in the commune of Ouled Hassoun.
The victim fell into the pool and drowned before her parents realized the incident, sources tell Kech24. Rushed to the Mohammed VI University Hospital Center, the 4-year-old girl did not survive, despite the doctors’ efforts to try to revive her. According to the same sources, she was already dead before being admitted to the emergency room.
The family of the minor is in shock. The announcement of her death has caused great sadness among the other patients. In recent years, several similar drowning cases have been recorded in the summer, a medical source said. Families on vacation in Marrakech rent villas to spend a few days and enjoy the pool, stays often spoiled by drownings in the pool.
