Tangier Arrest: Extremist with Criminal Past Caught Distributing Spoiled Meat to Vendors

The tricycle driver arrested on Monday, in flagrante delicto of distributing spoiled meat to street vendors of sandwiches in Tangier, is a repeat offender. According to the judicial police who carried out his arrest, he not only has a very heavy criminal record, but he also preaches extremist ideology.
It all started when the judicial police of the wilaya of Tangier, jointly with the DGST, proceeded to seize nearly a ton of spoiled meat from clandestine slaughter. The research and investigations carried out made it possible to arrest the tricycle driver in question. The daily Al Akhbar reports that the accused was arrested, distributing spoiled meat under deplorable sanitary conditions. In a press release, the DGSN emphasizes that the defendant has for the moment been placed in custody.
The fact that spoiled meat ends up being sold on the street, endangering the health of the population, engages the responsibility of the municipal services and the municipal police, as well as that of the commissions under the City Council. This new case of spoiled meat that lands on consumers’ plates brings back the case of the falsification of stamps for the disposal of meat from clandestine slaughterhouses, which has remained without follow-up, specifies the same source.
