Tangier Airport Hits Milestone: Over 1 Million Passengers in 2023

Tangier Ibn Battouta airport exceeded the threshold of 1 million travelers at the end of September.
According to data published by the National Airports Office (ONDA), 1,026,819 passengers transited through this airport.
The monthly statistics of the ONDA show a clear increase in passenger traffic at Tangier Ibn Battouta airport, over the past nine months, compared to the same period in 2018 when 845,636 travelers had transited through the airport.
By reaching the one million mark, Tangier International Airport maintains its 5th position nationally, behind the Mohammed V airports in Casablanca (41.52%), Marrakech-Menara (24.92%), Agadir Al Massira (7.98%) and Fès-Saïss (5.72%), specifies the ONDA.
During the month of September alone, the number of passengers who transited through Tangier Ibn Battouta airport reached 130,785 passengers, compared to 101,712 travelers in September 2018, up 28.58%, representing 6.01% of the total air traffic movement in Morocco, during this month.
