Dakhla Airport Sees 26% Surge in Passenger Traffic, Surpassing 250,000 Travelers in 2019

Dakhla airport experienced a 26.75% increase in passenger traffic in 2019 compared to 2018, according to data from the National Airports Office (ONDA).
The number of passengers who transited through the airport in southern Morocco reached 256,975 last year, compared to 202,741 travelers in 2018, according to a statement from the airport operator. Last December, the number of passengers who transited through this airport platform reached 19,459, compared to only 18,727 travelers during the same month a year earlier, an increase of 3.91%.
As for the traffic recorded, it reached 1.03% of the total traffic volume over the past twelve months and stood at 0.96% last December at the level of the various airports in the Kingdom. This allows it to rank 9th nationally.
Moreover, air traffic at Moroccan airports recorded an increase of 11.18% in 2019 to reach a record of 25,059,840 passengers, while international traffic exceeded 22 million passengers, with an increase of 9.80%.
