Marrakech Airport Sees 21% Surge in Passenger Traffic, Hits 6.4 Million in 2019

The National Airports Office (ONDA) reports a strong 21.13% increase in the number of passengers at Marrakech-Menara airport. The airport welcomed a total of 6,396,394 passengers in 2019, compared to only 5,280,624 travelers in 2018.
During the month of December 2019, the number of passengers who transited through Marrakech-Menara airport reached 524,088, compared to 490,297 in December 2018, an increase of 6.89%.
Similarly, Marrakech-Menara airport captured 25.52% of the national passenger air traffic in 2019, ranking second, behind Mohammed V airport in Casablanca (41.13%), according to the ONDA press release, which points out that the Marrakech Menara international airport had celebrated its 6 millionth passenger on December 11th last, during a grand ceremony.
This airport platform is ISO 9001 Version 2015 and ISO 14 001 Version 2015 certified. It was also chosen in 2017 by SkyTeam alliance users as the most beautiful airport in the world.
