Marrakech Airport Sees 9.5% Surge in Passenger Traffic, Ranks 2nd in Morocco

According to the latest data published by the National Airports Office (ONDA), Marrakech-Menara airport recorded, in January 2020, an increase in the number of its passengers of 9.56%, i.e. a total of 509,024 passengers, compared to only 464,595 travelers in January 2019.
This new performance places this airport in 2nd place, behind Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, specifies ONDA, which points out that with regard to aircraft movements during the month of January last, the share of Marrakech-Menara airport stood at 21.85% out of the 17,568 recorded nationwide, behind Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca (43.93%).
As for air routes at the national level, the Marrakech-Paris Orly line occupied the third place in the Top 5 of air services, with 40,405 passengers, while the Marrakech-Madrid line occupied the 4th rank with 37,762 travelers, reports ONDA.
The airports of the Kingdom recorded, last January, a growth of around 7.93% compared to the same period in 2019.
