Laâyoune Airport Sees 28% Surge in January Passenger Traffic

The year 2020 is starting on a better note for the Hassan 1st airport in Laâyoune. Passenger traffic recorded a 27.81% increase, according to data provided by the National Airports Office (ONDA).
Just for the month of January 2020, 24,712 passengers transited through this airport, compared to 19,335 travelers during the same month in 2019. The Hassan 1st airport ranks 9th nationally, accounting for 1.23% of the traffic volume recorded at the beginning of the year at the country’s airports.
This represents a total of 2,014,660 passengers compared to 1,866,604 last year, an increase of 7.93%, according to the MAP.
