Marrakech Airport Unveils New Business Aviation Terminal, Boosting Morocco’s Air Travel Capacity

At the initiative of the National Airports Office (ONDA), a new terminal, entirely dedicated to business and private aviation, was inaugurated on Saturday, February 1, at the Marrakech-Ménara international airport.
The new business aviation terminal at Marrakech-Menara airport covers an area of 3,000 m². The infrastructure has three compartments: the development of the land and the layout of the aircraft parking lots, vehicle parking lots and access ramps. The ONDA also created a central area dedicated to immigration formalities and passenger and crew security and safety control operations, as well as baggage.
Marrakech-Ménara airport is now the second airport platform in Morocco to have a terminal dedicated entirely to business and private aviation, after Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca.
Different from commercial aviation, business aviation includes regular national and international flights offered by airlines and light aviation, such as sports and leisure flights in glider planes. The main uses of this aviation segment include the transport of businessmen, medical evacuations, the transport of personalities by their own planes or through private aviation companies.
