Agadir Airport Hits 2 Million Passenger Milestone, Ranks 3rd in Morocco

Agadir airport reached the two million passenger mark for the first time on Wednesday.
According to the National Airports Office (ONDA), the number of passengers who transited through the airport increased from 1,456,794 passengers in 2008 to 1,922,721 in 2018. At the national level, Agadir Al Massira airport is the 3rd in the Kingdom in terms of passenger traffic, with 1,845,199 passengers recorded at the end of November 2019.
Certified ISO 9001 version 2000 and ISO 14001 version 2004, this airport has seen a 24.50% increase in passenger traffic, recording 1,922,721 passengers in 2018 compared to 1,544,244 in 2017.
In addition, the airport is served by 24 airlines operating on 179 weekly frequencies, connecting the city of Agadir to more than 50 international destinations, including Casablanca, Rabat, Fez and Tangier.
Agadir airport also has a 28,000 m2 terminal and a 170,000 m2 aircraft parking lot. It has experienced sustained growth in air traffic with an average annual growth rate of around 2.81%.
