Tanger Med Port Unveils New Hotel for Moroccan Expats During Summer Travel Season

The port of Tanger Med has inaugurated the Onomo hotel, thus strengthening its reception infrastructure, during the summer period and the "Marhaba" campaign for Moroccans of the World.
The new hotel will allow the port of Tanger Med to better accommodate Moroccans Residing Abroad (MREs). With an investment of 35 million dirhams, this hotel is located in the multimodal building, "Tanger med port center", which includes a maritime station, a railway station and a bus station. It covers an area of 4200 m2 and has 140 beds and 94 rooms.
According to the Director of the Passenger and Ro-Ro Port of Tanger Med, "the Tanger Med port is further strengthening its range of services for travelers, especially during this time of year which sees significant passenger traffic on the occasion of the Marhaba campaign".
For his part, Mohamed Bendraou, Director of the Onomo Hotel in Tanger Med, states: "The hotel is ready to welcome individual or corporate clients, for personal or professional stays, thanks to its catering offer and its banquet hall. Our 40 employees have undergone rigorous training and are fully operational".
In 2018, the port of Tanger recorded 2.8 million passengers, particularly during the summer period and the "Marhaba" campaign, hence the importance of building a hotel.
