Moroccan Port Releases Travel Advisory for Expats Returning Home

The Tanger Med Port indicates the conduct to be followed by Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) to avoid the exceptional traffic observed during the last week of August 2018 as part of the return phase of the Marhaba Operation.
To this end, they have been advised to choose the date of their crossing from Morocco based on the 2019 traffic forecasts, available on its website, tangermed-passagers.ma, or by downloading the "Tanger Med passengers" mobile app. MREs can also use other communication tools made available to them by the Port.
Last year, several thousand Moroccans of the World had remained at Tanger Med for several days, as the port was unable to manage the heavy traffic. This was also the case for the port of Algeciras, whose infrastructure is insufficient for such an influx of travelers.
