They won’t be able to reach Europe. The police arrested seven Syrian nationals who were about to enter Melilla.

According to the daily Al Ahdath, the suspicious behavior of these Syrians aroused the suspicions of the police elements, who redoubled their vigilance. They were traveling in a group with other Arab nationals, including two Tunisians, an Egyptian and a Yemeni, all holders of passports from their country of origin, the same source indicates.

After the arrest of these Syrians, the various national security services are working to arrest the people who sold these fake Moroccan passports. They already suspect a band of migrant smugglers, led by an Algerian. Indeed, the Brigade for the Fight against Organized Crime of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) had dismantled, a few months ago, this gang specialized in the forgery of Moroccan documents.

The same group had issued two fake Moroccan passports to two Tunisians who had tried to reach Europe through the same Farkhana border crossing, details the same source. They had been arrested and sentenced to prison.
