Suspect Dies in Hospital After Arrest in Nador, Morocco; Investigation Underway

A young man, placed in custody for damaging the property of others and for intentional violence, died after a malaise at the intensive care unit of the provincial hospital of Nador.
The 27-year-old man, with a criminal record for violent crimes, was placed in custody on the instructions of the competent prosecutor’s office, said the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN). The same source specifies that the defendant was transferred to the hospital around 9:30 a.m., following chest pains. He died in the intensive care unit.
For the purposes of the investigation, his body was transferred to the morgue for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
