Young Man Dies After Seizure in Casablanca Police Custody, Investigation Launched

A young man lost his life following a placement in police custody at the Sidi Bernoussi police station in Casablanca.
According to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the deceased, 26 years old, placed in police custody on Sunday on the instructions of the competent prosecutor’s office, suffered a seizure. Transferred to the hospital, he died just after his admission.
Furthermore, the press release informs that an investigation has been opened to understand what happened. The DGNS specifies that the body has been deposited at the morgue for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
