Suspect Dies in Moroccan Police Custody After Multiple Hospital Transfers

Placed in custody in a case of drunkenness and possession of a bladed weapon, a 31-year-old man died on Sunday morning after being transferred to the hospital.
In a press release, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicated that the suspect, already known to the police, had been taken into custody on Friday, on the instructions of the competent prosecutor’s office. But on Saturday around 10:30 p.m., he had a malaise that required his transfer to the hospital to receive the necessary care.
Returned to custody after receiving care, he suffered another malaise on Sunday around 2:00 a.m. Transferred to the hospital again, he died, the same source said in a press release.
His body was deposited at the morgue for an autopsy to determine the cause of death, the press release continues, which states that a parallel investigation has been opened.
