Suspect Arrested in Fatal Stabbing of 13-Year-Old Girl in Berrechid, Morocco

The crime took place on Tuesday, February 23, around 4 p.m., in the Al Moustakbal neighborhood in the Al kara region, in the province of Berrechid. The victim received several knife wounds. The inhabitants of the locality, shocked by this tragedy, had asked for more police presence to deter criminals. According to the information gathered by the elements of the royal gendarmerie, the young girl, a student at the Dar Al Caïd college, was the victim of a kidnapping attempt by her tormentor as she was returning home. Faced with the resistance of the latter, and fearing that her cries for help would alert the population, he struck her twice with a knife in the heart, before abandoning her, bathed in her blood, in front of the frightened witnesses. The girl died a few moments later, before the arrival of the police on the scene.
