A month after Samir B., a resident of the Porte d’Aubervilliers, was found dying in a basement in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, one of the two suspects turned himself in to the police. After being indicted for voluntary homicide, he was remanded in custody.

A fight that turns into a tragedy. On March 21, 2023 in the late afternoon, a local resident finds Samir B., 36, dying in an underground parking lot in the "Goutte d’or" neighborhood. Admitted to the hospital, this resident of the Porte d’Aubervilliers succumbs two days later to his serious injuries. The autopsy of the body at the Paris Forensic Institute reveals a severe head trauma, caused by very violent blows with blunt objects, reports Le Parisien.

Thanks to the traces and clues at the crime scene, the samples taken from the scene and sent to the laboratory, then the city’s video surveillance images, the investigators of the second judicial police district manage to identify two suspects: two brothers known to their services. However, they were unable to arrest them at their home near the Barbès metro station. During their questioning, the suspects’ parents confirmed that "their elder son mentioned this deadly brawl before them."
