Moroccan Woman Strangled in Toulouse; Suspect in Custody as Investigation Unfolds

A 38-year-old Moroccan woman was strangled by a "friend" last Thursday in Toulouse. The alleged murderer was immediately taken into custody. A judicial investigation has been opened to elucidate the case.
According to the autopsy performed on Friday at the Toulouse forensic institute, the victim of Moroccan origin suffered an "act of strangulation", between 3 and 4 in the morning. A judicial investigation for murder has been opened, confirms the Toulouse prosecutor’s office to Actu.fr. It is the alleged murderer, aged 35, who informed the police on Thursday that she had killed the victim who lived in a small ground floor apartment on Avenue de Lespinet, Montaudran district.
The emergency services were unable to do anything for the victim, who was already dead when they arrived. The alleged murderer, on the other hand, was arrested and taken into custody. "She has no criminal record and is only known for a minor offense," the prosecutor’s office said, adding that "these two people frequented each other, probably around the consumption of drugs, but it is up to the investigating judge to determine this with certainty." The accused must be brought before the investigating judge to be indicted.
