Suspects in Montpellier Teen’s Murder Arrested in Switzerland Before Fleeing to Morocco

Two brothers from Montpellier were arrested in June near Geneva, Switzerland for their alleged involvement in the death of Riyadh, a 19-year-old man, shot in the back on May 16 in his neighborhood of Val de Croze in Montpellier. They have been extradited and placed in detention.
The two brothers were arrested in a campsite in the canton of Geneva, Switzerland, as they were preparing to go to Morocco, reports Midi Libre. One brother was extradited to France first and the second arrived in Montpellier on Saturday. One is in detention in Carcassonne, and the other in Rodez, the same source specifies.
The two new suspects, as well as the two individuals placed in pre-trial detention at the end of May after being indicted for "murder in an organized gang", are accused of being the perpetrators or co-perpetrators of the murder of the young Riyadh, killed by a 22 Long Rifle bullet. In total, five people, including three brothers and their brother-in-law, are in custody as part of this case.
The investigators of the departmental security and the judicial police of Montpellier favor the track of a conflict in the neighborhood. Riyadh’s family, as well as their lawyer, Me Marc Gallix, satisfied with the good progress of the investigation, salute "the efficiency of the police." "I am now interested in the involvement of each and every one. It is in particular a question of determining who is the shooter..." the lawyer confided.
