Suspect Arrested in Double Homicide of Moroccan Building Guards

A 31-year-old man well known to the police has been indicted and remanded in custody. He is accused of his alleged involvement in the murder of two men with a bladed weapon.
Intensive investigations and searches have made it possible to identify the suspect and to arrest him last Thursday evening in the L’Makansa neighborhood in Casablanca. Preliminary information from the investigation opened shows that the arrested person would be involved in the two knife murders in Casablanca and Berrechid against two building guards.
The police carried out searches at the suspect’s home and were able to seize clothes and some personal effects bearing biological traces related to the crime scenes. The seized objects are currently undergoing expert analysis at the scientific and technical police laboratory of the National Security.
As for the suspect, he has been placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation opened in order to elucidate the ramifications of these cases.
