Homeless Man Arrested for Fatal Beating of Two in Rabat, Morocco

A 57-year-old man with multiple criminal records was arrested on Wednesday by elements of the prefectural judicial police service in Rabat. He would be involved in a case of assault and battery resulting in the death of two people.
The suspect would be a vagrant who, at the beginning of the week, had violently assaulted two people using a blunt object. The reasons justifying this violence are unknown and are the subject of an investigation by the police. But the fact remains that the two people succumbed to their injuries in the hospital, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a statement.
Scientific research and field investigations had made it possible to identify the suspect and apprehend him on Wednesday. He was placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted by the judicial police, in order to determine the causes and circumstances of these fatal assaults, the statement said.
