Survey: Wealthy Moroccans More Satisfied with Justice System than Low-Income Citizens

The results of a survey reveal that the rich are more satisfied with the work of "Justice" than people with lower incomes.
This survey conducted by the Hague Institute for the Innovation of Law, in collaboration with the Adala association and the Moroccan Magistrates’ Club shows that high-income individuals, when dealing with the justice system, consider themselves to be well-listened to and having easy access to the details of the procedures they must follow to successfully handle their legal affairs.
For half of the respondents, the judicial bodies only allow wealthy people to solve their problems. Other categories cannot claim the same treatment.
According to Al Massae, the financial situation of the litigants is a key factor in the courts. Thus, for example, 26% of people even give up on obtaining their rights before the competent courts because they do not have good financial resources.
In addition, while two-thirds of Moroccans are willing to admit that they need advice in the face of legal problems, only one in five allows themselves to ask a professional for advice. This of course leads to procedural errors...
On the other hand, as they say, between two evils one must choose the lesser. Thus, the majority of Moroccans would prefer justice and the police to solve their problems. For them, state institutions are the most qualified for this purpose.
