Student Sentenced for Coercing Minor to Steal from Father in Failed Europe Migration Plot

A student was sentenced to a prison term by the criminal chamber of the Court of Appeal of Tanger, for abduction of a minor and aggravated theft.
Aged 19, the individual, who is pursuing his studies in the 2nd year of the baccalaureate, had incited a minor girl, with whom he had a love affair, to steal money from her father to leave clandestinely for Europe.
The young girl managed to steal the sum of 30,000 dirhams from her father, before running away, in the company of her boyfriend, near Tangier, where they were waiting their turn to board pateras.
However, things did not go as planned. By taking the sum of money, the young man preferred to flee, leaving the girl in a dead end.
