Casablanca Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Fatal Robbery Attempt

A young man in his thirties was sentenced to 20 years in prison. This verdict was handed down by the criminal chamber of the Casablanca Court of Appeal. He is accused and prosecuted for premeditated voluntary manslaughter and attempted aggravated theft.
After the investigation of his case at the bar, the requisitions of the public prosecutor and the pleadings of his lawyer, the president of the criminal chamber of the Casablanca Court of Appeal declared the accused guilty of the facts charged against him and sentenced him to 20 years in prison.
According to the summary of the facts drawn up by the witnesses, including a night watchman, the murderer, who was armed with a large knife, cut off the path of a family man, ordering him to give him a sum of money. Under the influence of drugs, he did not hesitate to give his victim three knife blows before evaporating into nature, reports Aujourd’hui le Maroc.
In court, the accused partially admitted the facts. He acknowledges having cut off the path of his neighborhood neighbor, just to intimidate him and take something to buy a sandwich. He never wanted to steal, he defended himself.
