Moroccan Court Sentences Three to 10 Years for Kidnapping and Abusing Spanish Teen

10 years of actual imprisonment were distributed by the criminal chamber near the Court of Appeal of Tangier to the 3 defendants, members of a single family. They are being prosecuted for abduction of a minor, sexual abuse, kidnapping and sequestration.
The case occurred in Assilah and dates back to last May, when the young girl, residing in Spain, had accompanied the defendant, aged 20, to the family home, after meeting on Facebook.
In August, she agreed to spend a few days at his home, although she had shown resistance due to her precarious financial situation.
The couple were living the perfect love story, until their story was discovered by the girl’s father upon his return from Spain. A complaint was filed against the defendant and his family with the police station.
Fearing a scandal, the mother and sister of the young man sequestered the young couple at their neighbor’s, from where they were released by the police.
For these acts, the young man was sentenced to 6 years in prison, while his mother and sister were sentenced to a firm sentence of 4 years.
