Stranded French Tourist Rescued from Snowbound Car in Morocco’s Tinghir Province

A French tourist had to spend the night in his car before being rescued on Sunday morning with the help of a crane. The man was stranded on the provincial road 704, connecting Tilmi to Agdal, near Tinghir.
Trapped in his car, the French national, completely immobilized by heavy snowfall, was rescued thanks to the intervention of civil protection elements, reports Kech24.
In a press release, the governor of the province of Tinghir had called for rapid action to unblock the region and rescue the population and tourists trapped by the bad weather.
Last Saturday, 15 hikers, including 11 women, were trapped in the mountains of Imilchil, following heavy snowfall. They were rescued by the intervention teams mobilized for the occasion.
