Heavy snowfall has disrupted the daily life of residents and tourists in the Imilchil region. Fifteen hikers were rescued on Saturday after being trapped by a heavy snowstorm.
15 hikers, from Rabat and Benslimane, were trapped on Saturday by the severe weather that hit the region. The hike was just short of turning into a tragedy.
Ten women were part of the group of hikers, who had set out to discover the mythical lakes of Isli and Tislit, where the Moussem of the Engagements is celebrated each year.
The 15 hikers were rescued and brought back to the Imilchil center, thanks to the intervention of the local authorities and civil protection agents.
