Morocco Braces for Heavy Thunderstorms and Snowfall Across Multiple Provinces

Snowfall and thunderstorms, which can sometimes be very heavy, are expected from Wednesday to Thursday in several provinces in Morocco, according to a statement from the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM).
In an orange alert, the DGM announces locally moderate thunderstorms on Wednesday from 3pm to 11pm in the provinces of Beni-Mellal, Berrechid, Casablanca, El Jadida, Essaouira, Fahs-Anjra, Kenitra, Larache, Mediouna, Mohammadia, Nouaceur, Rabat, Safi, Salé, Sidi Bennour, Skhirate-Temara and Tanger-Assilah.
As for the provinces of Berkane and Oujda-Angad, they will be affected by locally moderate to fairly heavy thunderstorms on Thursday from 00:00 to 12:00.
In addition, moderate snowfall of up to 30 cm at altitudes above 1,800m is expected tonight and Thursday in the provinces of Al Haouz, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Boulemane, Ifrane, Khenifra and Midelt.
