Standard Liège Star Mehdi Carcela Fined for Illegal Match During COVID Lockdown

Involved in a clandestine match, the Moroccan international, Mehdi Carcela, right attacking midfielder at Standard Liège, is fined.
250 euros. This is the amount of the fine imposed by the Belgian government on the "Atlas Lion", following his participation in a football match, organized in violation of the state of health emergency in force in Belgium.
The police of the Basse-Meuse zone in Belgium had intervened to arrest Mehdi Carcela, during this "clandestine" match. He did not wait for the end of the confinement to plant his studs on one of the fields of Belgium.
More than sixty people and players also took part in this match, including some teammates of the "Atlas Lion".
However, the Belgian club has decided not to take any decision concerning its players involved, until their return from the leave granted by the team’s management.
