Moroccan Soccer Star Mehdi Carcela Donates €33,000 for Ventilator to Belgian Hospital

Moroccan international Mehdi Carcela has donated 33,000 euros to a hospital in Belgium as part of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
Like Moroccan-born footballers, the Standard Liège player is also participating in the fight against coronavirus. The Atlas Lion has donated 33,000 euros to the CHR de la Citadelle, a hospital located in Liège, Belgium, for the purchase of a ventilator.
In a thank-you message on social media, the hospital authorities shared the news. According to them, the attacking midfielder of Standard insisted that the money be used to purchase a ventilator. "A huge thank you to him for this wonderful gesture!" they added.
Active in this fight alongside the authorities, the 30-year-old Atlas Lion had recorded a short video a few days ago to urge Belgians to stay at home.
