Standard Liège’s Selim Amallah Nears Transfer to Real Valladolid Amid Contract Dispute

Excluded from all Standard matches due to the failure of negotiations to extend his contract, Selim Amallah may have found an exit door through a Spanish club that has made contact with Standard.
After several weeks of uncertainty, the departure of Selim Amallah from the Liège club is becoming more concrete. Real Valladolid started negotiations on Tuesday with Standard to recruit the Moroccan player. If the two clubs agree on the terms of the transfer, Amallah should join the José-Zorrilla stadium without delay before the end of this winter transfer window. Pierre Locht will be able to get a transfer fee, hoping for at least 500,000 euros.
The ball is now in Real Valladolid’s court, who will have to make an offer. Directed by former Brazilian international Ronaldo, the Spanish club is in a bad position in the standings and needs players with the potential of Selim Amallah to climb back up. Perhaps in a few days, he will have the joy of reuniting with his teammate Jawad El Yamiq.
Other clubs like Torino have the Moroccan player in their sights. But they hope to get him when he is free of any contract in order to negotiate directly with him. Except that Real Valladolid is in urgent need and could not wait until the end of June for this transfer that could bring a certain balance to the team.
