Moroccan Midfielder Amallah Joins Real Valladolid, Credits Teammate El Yamiq for Move

Selim Amallah shared his impressions following his transfer to Real Valladolid, thanking his national team teammate Jawad El Yamiq for the role he played in making this recruitment a reality.
Selim Amallah arrived on January 31 at Real Valladolid from Standard Liège on a 4-year contract. He says he is happy to join the Spanish championship. "La Liga is my favorite championship. It’s the one I’ve been watching since I was little. It’s a dream to be able to play in it." He says he is ready to "show that I have the level required to play there," reports Sud Info.
According to the player’s confidences, the presence of Jawad El Yamiq, his teammate in the national team, was decisive in his choice to join the club, which is currently 17th in La Liga. "I contacted him when Valladolid’s approach became concrete. He only said good things about this club. If I’m here, it’s partly thanks to him. The atmosphere is very family-oriented. It’s my first experience outside of Belgium and in this case, it’s important to find a club capable of supporting you well," he confided.
If Azzedine Ounahi made his debut very quickly with OM, Selim Amallah could make his baptism of fire next Sunday during the match between Real Valladolid and Real Sociedad. "I can’t wait to start. I’ve wanted to leave the Belgian championship for a while, in which I felt I had proven myself," he stressed.
