Moroccan Star Selim Amallah Eyes Hertha Berlin Move as Valladolid Deal Stalls

The Moroccan international, Selim Amallah, could ultimately opt for Hertha Berlin. The player, who was in Valladolid last Thursday, was awaiting his officialization by the Spanish club, but due to a delay, he could ultimately join the German club.
The agreement between Selim Amallah and Real Valladolid was to be finalized for 2 million euros, but time is running out and there are only two days left before the end of the winter transfer window. Thus, Hertha Berlin could take advantage of the situation to recruit the Moroccan player. 777 Partners, a sports and entertainment company, is expected to become the majority shareholder of the German club and help attract the best players on the field, including the Atlas Lion.
Amallah was in open conflict with his now almost former club. The president of Standard Liège, Pierre Locht, had sidelined the player, because the latter refused to extend his contract. "Standard will not do the work for another club. It is not up to us to create added value for players who will leave for free," he had said in a recent interview. According to him, this would be "the death of the club".
