Spanish TikToker Exposes Massive Zara Price Hikes in Morocco

Aksal Group, the Moroccan leader in the fields of Retail, Luxury, shopping malls and department stores, led by the Moroccan billionaire Salwa Idrissi, wife of the Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, is in the sights of a Spanish TikToker. She accuses him of offering Zara brand products at much higher prices in Morocco than in Spain.
In a video, Marta Oliete, a Spanish TikToker, compares the prices of "Zara" products between Morocco and Spain and reveals a price difference of more than 500%. A garment bearing the "Zara" brand sells in Spain for only 7 euros, while it is offered in Morocco for 26 euros, she points out to her 515,000 subscribers. In addition, a dress of the same brand sells for 120 euros (1300 dirhams), much more expensive compared to its price in Spain.
For Marta Oliete, the brand’s stores, owned by Aksal Group belonging to Salwa Idrissi Akhannouch, wife of the Moroccan Prime Minister, largely benefit from the price difference, making the Spanish brand expensive, although Morocco is a tourist destination, reports the newspaper Infobae.
