Spanish Police Bust Major Drug Ring: 1,400 kg Hashish Seized in Majorca and Tarragona

The Spanish Civil Guard has carried out a large-scale anti-drug operation in Majorca and Tarragona, leading to the seizure of 1,400 kilos of Moroccan hashish and more than 170,000 euros.
After months of investigation during which 53 searches (48 in Majorca and 5 in Tarragona) were carried out, significant quantities of various drugs, cash and high-end vehicles were seized, the armed institute said in a press release, specifying that the investigation started in 2021 after the dismantling of a very active criminal organization in drug trafficking in the Balearic Islands.
According to the investigators, the organization used vehicles to hide and transport drugs and money they laundered. They invested most of the profits from drug trafficking in the purchase of houses and high-end vehicles. After investigation, the agents proceeded to seize a luxury villa built in Morocco and several real estate properties, as well as eight luxury cars worth 100,000 euros each. They also blocked 60 bank accounts belonging to members of the network.
In total, 1,400 kilos of hashish were seized, as well as various quantities of cocaine, hashish, ecstasy, marijuana and more than 170,000 euros.
