Spanish Police Bust International Drug Ring Smuggling Hashish to France

The Civil Guard has arrested 11 people, including Moroccans, in Gandía (Valencia), members of a criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking to France, document forgery and money laundering.
The operation started in September, after agents suspected that the owner of a food transport company was using his trucks to transport drugs to France. A driver, a member of this organization, was arrested at the Montpellier customs by the French authorities who seized more than 390 kilos of hashish and nearly 100 kilos of marijuana after searching the truck.
Later, Civil Guard agents arrested a vehicle belonging to a construction company. After a thorough inspection, they found 250 kilos of hashish. The driver, the owner of the company, was arrested. He was identified as one of the influential members of the criminal organization.
Several searches carried out in the homes, warehouses and a yacht belonging to the members of the network, led to the seizure of 700 grams of cocaine, 2 kilograms of marijuana, 500 grams of hashish and nearly 13,000 euros in cash.
In total, 11 people (10 men and one woman) of different nationalities (Moroccan, Chilean, Spanish and Romanian) were arrested for the offenses of drug trafficking, belonging to a criminal organization, money laundering and document forgery.
