Spanish Police Arrest Moroccan Jihadist Recruiter in Anti-Terror Operation

The Spanish authorities, assisted by the intelligence services, managed to apprehend a Moroccan national in connection with terrorist networks. He is being prosecuted for recruiting extremists to carry out terrorist acts throughout Europe.
On Saturday, July 13, 2019, a 48-year-old Moroccan jihadist was arrested by the Spanish security services. Working for international terrorist organizations, the individual was responsible for recruiting young extremists to carry out terrorist acts throughout Europe.
The investigations carried out by the Spanish intelligence services revealed the defendant’s links with international terrorist organizations. Telephone calls were recorded on his phones.
The Spanish police stated that the accused had already been arrested in 2016 and had served a prison sentence on the same charges. He was taken into custody, pending his appearance before the court.
