Morocco Foils Terror Plot: 20 Daesh-Linked Extremists Arrested in Security Sweep

The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) arrested about twenty people in less than a week. These alleged terrorists were about to act.
They did not have the material time to commit their crime. In a strategy of anticipation, the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ), under the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), has rendered harmless twenty new extremists, close to the terrorist organization "Daesh", reports 360.
According to the daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia, these neutralized Islamists, in just one week, were planning terrorist acts, targeting sensitive sites and the assassination of public figures.
Indeed, on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, two suspects were arrested in the city of Safi for their alleged links with the terrorist organization "Daesh". Aged 44 and 45 respectively, they lived in two different neighborhoods, Saïda and El Koudia, of Safi. According to the same source, they were transferred to the BCIJ headquarters in Salé for further investigation.
In the wake, elements of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) arrested other extremists, this time in Rabat and Casablanca. They had the same intention as the previous two. They were also preparing terrorist attacks. They had targeted the headquarters of the Parliament in Rabat, nightclubs, the headquarters of the auxiliary forces in Salé and El Jadida, the "Mawazine" Festival, the Salé prison, to free Islamist prisoners convicted of terrorism cases, and other police sites.
